American Classics

CamSS3501

Classic American muscle cars come to life on the race track with that distinctive V8 roar and this is your chance to be the one at the steering wheel! These thrilling experiences will see you driving vintage vehicles like the Corvette the Mustang and the Camaro. These sessions are like stepping back in time to the halcyon days of American motor racing. It’s all about eye-catching paintwork a long low slung chassis and a huge engine under the bonnet or should we say hood? These are absolute classics all the way from the good old US of A all ready and waiting in tip-top condition for you to take them for a spin. In this almost priceless garage we’ve got a trio of muscle cars for you. First up is the Chevrolet Corvette. This classic was first launched in 1953 and seven generations later is still a current model. The version you’ll be getting your hands on is a vintage third generation Corvette with that incredibly long bonnet (no you won’t be able to see anything over it!) and curved styling. We think these versions from the 60s and 70s were simply the best. Then there’s the Ford Mustang. You can’t miss this baby on the track as it’s bright red and makes a lot of noise. Still very much a working race car this vintage Mustang can often be seen being driven in Master Series or classic events around the country but today it’s you who could be at the helm commanding every one of those 500bhp – perhaps just as well you have upgraded racing brakes and suspension. The oldest boy out there is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. If this particular classic looks a little familiar it might be because you’ve seen it in the Fast and Furious films. With that stylish metallic blue paintwork and ‘go faster’ white stripes on the air intake and bonnet this Camaro boasts adjustable air suspension and super-wide custom wheels. It may be decades old but this enduring classic still ‘has it’ when you power down a straight-line run. Oh and it’s worth mentioning that many of these vintage motors lack all those modern gadgets. So if you’re expecting traction control to kick in to keep you on the straight and narrow as you drive these classic American muscle cars think again – you will have to control all that power all by yourself – but that doesn’t mean today that’ll you’ll be restricted on speed in fact you’re heartily encouraged to go for it!
