Pink Floyd Exhibition and Meal

This Pink Floyd exhibition is not just another brick in the wall it’™s the world’™s first international retrospective for this legendary band! Taking place at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London from May to October 2017 these packages give you entrance tickets to The Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains and a two course meal at a nearby eatery.Roger Waters Nick Mason and Richard Wright met as architecture students at what was then London Polytechnic in 1963 and by 1965 Syd Barrett had joined. The Pink Floyd then went about making their own distinctive brand of psychedelic progressive rock music with the group selling over 250 million records during their prolific career. This wonderful new V&A exhibition charts Pink Floyd’™s journey through the decades whilst coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the release of their first single ‘˜Arnold Layne’™. It’™s a multi sensory journey into their art music and a whole lot more with over 350 artefacts on show to wow and amaze. We love the laser light show the never-before-seen concert footage and the original album cover artwork. Surely the most iconic of which has to be the image of Battersea Power Staton with a flying pig for the ‘˜Animals’™ album? Or maybe it’™s the rainbow prism of the seminal ‘˜Dark Side of Moon’™ LP (which incidentally one in 12 people all over the world owns a copy of!)?Pink Floyd continuously pushed the boundaries of music with themed and concept albums. Quadraphonic sound was a particular fascination of theirs so it’™s no wonder the actual quadraphonic device the Azimuth Co-ordinator which was used at a live gig at the Queen Elizabeth II Hall on London’™s South Bank is a highlight. What makes this Pink Floyd exhibition even more interesting is that Roger Dave and Mark the three remaining members of Pink Floyd have been very much involved in curating this V& A retrospective full of instruments original drawings handwritten lyrics graphics and more. Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains has to be a must-see for all fans of the revolutionary and innovative 60s music scene. And don’™t forget there’™s a table reserved for you to enjoy a two course meal before or after your exhibition visit too!
